My question is, If one was worried about rain protection, why not just put it on top of the hood, and hold it down with a milk jug full of water, that way one would not forget about it. I got a buddy that just drapes a entire blanket over the whole hood at night.
It sucks that one forgot. I feel for ya. I equally completed something that idiotic, but not such a harsh outcome.

here's the secret to lower ins. get another gauge cluster & rack up about 2500 miles on it. remove it & replace with the stocker. drive it as much as you like. label the car as "recreational". if they ever need to check mileage, swap clusters. voila, low rates. due to my driving (yes my fault) i would be paying around $570/month. but nope i pay about $200.car dealerships have been doing this for years on imports. ever wonder why a used car can be more than the new year?????
