Be safe in the Rain!!!!!!!!
FFFFFFin Rain sucks!!!!!!!!
Well I want to tell my story of stupid driving this weekend. I just got a tuneup at RNR racing this past friday. My car is running great and I wanted to push it but with all rain in SOCAL lately I have not really drove fast lately because of the rain. On Sunday on the way to friends house to watch the Chargers game I noticed that it stopped raing and road apeared to be dry. That was my stupid mistake since when there is alot moistoure in the air the roads can still be slick. On the exit ramp I pushed the car and rear spun out the car rotaded 90 degrees and I was drifting sideways. Since I took the turn on the inside lane of the ramp I was not close to guard rail. I know I should have downshifted and pointed in direction of the skid but at that point I had enough room to stop so I stopped and I didn't want to hit the gaurd rail by adding more power. There was also slight grade on the ramp from going Right to left. I did go into the dirt and some plants on the inside lane when I stopped but no damgae to car. I was not going that fast but in EVO with awd I was feeling over confident.
My believe is that it is better to be safe than sorry.

lucky lucky no damage, but I'm happy for ya. Yea, everybody should be careful when pushing at all...and I'll leave it at that so I don't sound like your parents or something

Agreed. A lot of people think AWD is glued to the road for some reason. You still only have 4 tires touching the road :\
Glad to hear no damage... I learned this lesson in my 95 GS-T while taking a turn at 55mph.. car didnt turn and the guardrail kept me from taking a swim in a river.

I agree also..
same thing happen to me and my evo...went out to take a friend for a test drive and took the merge too fast..my car fish-tailed like 4 times, but luckily i was able to get it in control...this was after a rainy day and the roads were a little dry...
ps...hurt my finger too when the steering wheel snapped back...
no damage to the car though...
seriously...BE CAREFUL OUT THERE GUYS...the margin of error gets smaller and smaller with every race and pull you do on the roads...
peace

Also be really carefull on the holes on the road... i just crashed through with my evo this morning on a big hole. i didn't go very fast though like around 30-45mph but now i'm worried that there's already damages to the car. Any way to check this? does warranty covers this if there's any damage?
yup definitely be careful in the rain- stock advans arent meant for it.
note- be especially careful when you're turning while going downhill- gravity will work against you and if you lose traction, pull the apex of your drift way further down than you anticipated.
