Ticket, what should I do.

if you have the option, I'd go to driving school. You get no points on your license, insurance company never knows about it, you are only out a 100 bucks max and you are out a couple of hours for your life at school -- i think that beats the price of the ticket and the next 3 years of insurance rates going up because your car "breaking up a bit..."
Sounds to me like a win-win ...IF you have the option...

Look guy just get yourself a good traffic lawyer! It'll cost you a few bucks but if he or she is really good your gonna get off! I personally think if your not represented and you start rambling bout what happened, the judge is gonna give you that stupid look and yeah maybe reduce the ticket but your still gonna get hit with the fine and who knows how many points!
My lawyer has gotten me off doing 97 in a 50, "big story behind that one". But again if your not comfortable going in there by yourself and aren't sure get yourself one even if it's for some kind of advise.
Just my 2 cts!

Not a bad idea, it was seriously breaking up bad, I pulled the plugs, needless to say I needed new ones in a bad way. I was so stupid to, I know there are cops artound there but wasn't really thinking about it when my car started stumbling. Oh well, looks like I am going to see the judge.

Nice HP and ET. No contest should work for you. Don't bother coming up with a big drawn out story... Just be remorseful and act scared and you will probably just pay court costs.
I was in a similar situation a few years back and the cop was very lenient. I went to court and before it was my turn to go before the judge a lady came back with a "deal" if I plead no contest. The deal was pay court cost and that was it!
I'm not sure if the cop talked the the judge or what.. but I was pleased to learn a cheap lesson.

You are probably going to troop 12 for your appearence. There are two judges and on is a b__ch, when you go they just go over your options, guilty not guilty ect. If you plead not guilty they send you to the court of appeals I think which is where you can negotiate with a prosecutor. I not you are dealing directly with the judge. good luck 141 is a very bad road to speed on. The town of Newport cops set up there all the time. Was it the town cops or county?

Like I said I don't care about paying the ticket, its the points I don't want. In Delaware its automatic , you get points.

Pleading no contest is OK, but if you can get off clean thats even better. Speeding tickets are the easiest to get out of. First look up the violation code to see if if cited properly. Often is something like 1234.23a or 1234.23b. The codes are very close and the police will often code it incorrectly. Also I am not sure of your state laws, but most states require the radar guns to be certified on a monthly basis(who does that!) so if thats not done your off. There is many other ways. Do you have ticket busters (ie 79$ and you get off or your money back.) Anyways at least look that stuff up before you go, and good luck. I am going to court tomorrow for failure to yeild to a red light when making a right turn (the chief of police is my patient so I should be OK).
Pleading "No Contest" has exactly the same effect as pleading "Guilty" except the fact of the plea can't be used against you in a civil suit if you plead "No Contest." That's not an issue for you.
Friends Don't Let Friends Plead Guilty!!!
I got a radar ticket that CLAIMED I was going 114 mph in a 70 mph zone dismissed by hiring a great lawyer, but he was expensive.
