i believe you are referring to the Euro-spec rear fog light...i've always liked the idea of a low bright rear fog light for when its rainy/snowy/foggy (read: not the stupid "my left brake light looks like its stuck on but it's really MB/Audi/VW's half-hearted attempt at a rear fog light." i hate those.)

as far as getting one installed...im sure you could find a shop to install one...or just french an LED tail cluster into the lower bumper...

p.s. our gauge cluster already has a spot for an indicator light for the rear fog

they arent white lights...they are red... they are so people can see YOU in bad weather...its like a brake light (bright) very low on the bumper and usually toward the center of the car.

If I'm not mistaken all new production cars (in Europe) are required to have a red fog light mounted in the back of the car that can be seen by the others in bad weather conditions.

I have the rear fog light on my Evo 7, but instead of cutting an unsightly hole into the rear bumper cover, the right rear reverse light was converted to a red lens and is operated by a factory dash switch.

It's also great for getting tailgaters to back off the rear!

fog lights are gay and thank god not many US cars have them. Only idiots drive with them.
It was a rebirth for me when I moved to US and realized majority of US cars don't have those things. Over in Europe *******s drive with them all the time. Any when the fog is so bad that you can't see in front of your hood, guess what - those things don't help either. I would ban fog lights.

I noticed I am seeing them alot more often on newer cars in the US.. I recall seeing it on a Porsche, and a Jaguar recently.. At first I just thought they had a brake light out, then I realized that the light was on when their forward facing fog lamps were on..

I can see the brightness being useful in foul foggy weather, but they can be kinda bright when these jokers drive around with it on for no reason.. SOmetimes I wonder if they even know they even have it..
