question about emissions

hey guys newb here looking to get an evo...i live in la but am probably gonna drive out to vegas to buy the car because i think i can get a better deal over there. anyways my question is: are the evos built 50 state legal? (since ca's emissions are much stricter i figured maybe out of state evos would be built different since its cheaper?) i know this used to be the case with some cars but im not so sure about that anymore. i looked and couldnt find anything about it so sorry if im asking questions that have been asked in the past. thanks! btw what colors do you guys like? i kinda like the apex silver right now buit the black is sleek as well but i cant make up my mind!

No difference in emissions in any car from any state. All cars 97(?) and newer have to be built based on CARB.

As far as the color, remember the black swirls easy and the silver never looks that dirty. I still love my black though!

Not true many cars are 50 state but that is not true of all cars. The Evo is a 50 state car. You can tell a 50 state car by looking at the emissions sticker under the hood of all cars, If it says California "Blah balh blah" it = 50 state.

Go here to see what you need for out of state purchases

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/osreg.htm#BM2561

In addition you will need a MSO and the window sticker. You will need to get a smog check before you register in california. I don't know when the next smog test is scheduled after that.
