It's a sad day when STi guys are doing their own independent tests because they don't believe all these magazines are picking the Evo. I used to respect the STi as a great car, but these STi guys are a sad bunch trying to grasp whatever they can to make themselves feel better about buying an inferior car.

I'm not sure I would say inferior. The EVO is definately superior in some ways as is the STi is in others. Both are great and any head to head should be a driver's race if the cars are stock or similarly modded.

 

ok, you got me there. The STi has far plusher seating and that cruise control goes a long way. j/k...we all know as far as performance and potential, Evo>STi.

I had an STi. Sold it for the Evo. Haven't looked back.

I would also like to point out that the guy driving the STi is also a pro driver. He doesn't mention it and makes a big deal about the other driver. He could easily be a far superior driver to the EVO driver. It's a shame the same guy didn't drive both cars. Oh, but you say, they are both "pro drivers" so it couldn't be that big of a difference. Yeah right. Look at F1 or NASCAR or WRC or any other major racing series and tell me there isn't a difference in drivers. They are all pro, too.

 

hmm sti w. 4 mods...beat an ENZO..? someone please explain this to me..on top gear the ENZO is the fastest car around their track..even the top STi doesnt come close...care to elaborate anyone..?

 

If I had an Enzo, I wouldn't abuse it on the track with some cheap a ss $30,000 cars.

I'm sure the tires are about grand each on that car, not to mention service fee on oil change.
