I guess you're painting the lower turn signal area with Testor's clear amber paint, right? Looks good! Im doing that to mine since I have the paint just been trying to figure out a way to get a good finish on the upper since it looks crappy just plain black.

actually no i am using a stained glass paint...but i guess some $3 model paint might look acceptable to some... thanks for the compliment ...i am super happy with how mean they look.

evodave: I'm not trying to down your stuff because it looks great but what are you going to do with the upper amber piece? When I painted my headlights I left that piece out and the bulb looked horrible in there when turned on because there is nothing for it to reflect off of. I just ended up taking them out all together. Is that your suggestion too, to just leave the bulbs out?

I have only had one person feel that the bulb was a big deal. He then put the colored bulb cover over it (thos little rubber condom things) and even he was happy with it. LIke you said i suppose you could leave the bulb out...or space it back so it sits in deeper. But it hasn't bothered the 50+ people with sets i have done and some of them were VERY picky consumers.
