manual boost controller for electric

hey guys.. well i have been doing some searching, and i have always been skeptical of getting a boost controller. ( fearing i'd turn it up and F it up , or when my brother drives it he tries to shwo off to his friends and just turns a knob to be cool )

anyways. the question is.. using a MBC is simple, but cause i live in Pittsburgh it would require me to get in and out of the car to set it properly.. or i can have a in cockpit set up like the hallman rx controller...

OR....

I can get an EBC, with a closed loop and just use that...

what are your feelings everyone?? i mean what works for most of you?

both ideas sound good and yes you can get a mbc to fit in cockpit, however you could always get a piggy back like the xede and that would control it and your brother wouldnt be able to switch it.. Plus you can get some serious power from one.

it's your money, the MBC and EBC does the same job, EBC just has more control over the boost aspect on ecu.

I have the rx controller (in-cockpit), and i love the fact that i don't have to go out to adjust, (weather change etc).

but i do get scared about people messing with the shiny red knob.

I usually mark it to see if it's been tempered with and it usually works well. You'll be suprised at how many people at the dealership are careful about touching stuff on your car.

you just have to watch out for every other people.

I don't let anyone drive my car that doesn't know about the car or they have to have the same car to drive it.

just get the hallman pro rx evo.

I have that and it's basic meat and potato deal, but it gets the job done great.

That and you don't have to mess with the whole electronics of it, tapping into ecu, etc.
