271 HP is nice. Too bad the car weighs close to 3300 ponds though.

Except for weight the evo beats the wrx in every way. Very well work the extra 5 grand. If you owned a wrx you'll know it ton of $$$ just to equal the evo. I'm talking about performance and longivity with the upgrade such as trans, clutch, intercooler, turbo, gear ratio, recario, brembos, sway bars and more just to equal the evo.

Am i the only one who feel the evo is a bargin at under 30K? I wish they offer diff options though.

I own a WRX and will purchase the USDM Evo shortly as well.
I agree with you with the superiority of the EVO in the following department: Tranny, FMIC, Turbo, Gear ratio, Inline 4 motor, breaks, interior...over the current USDM WRX.
I should have a head to head comparison of the Evo and my current WRX once I take delivery of the EVO.

As for Price wise, I don't believe its a bargin at $30K for a new Evo!
The Scooby Fans won't be disappointed when the New STI arrives to the US show room.

Won't beat a 24k WRX? What crack are you smoking? This car may very well beat a 35k STi, not to meantion make a 24k WRX owner cry.

I feel it's a bargin especially since the sti is rumored to be over 30k I'm sure if im wrong someone will correct me
I for one am gonna wait to see what happens this year and then make a decision as to what is the best deal. I like the wrx's, but for 25k + 5k for 17" wheels and suspension from subaru?? I'm not sure if I want to go that route especially if I can get the evo w/ more hp for around the same price.

Welp.

Yeah, it sounds good to me also. A deal it is. And the good part is 4600 of them. That is a lot. So much for dealer markup.

I can't wait for them to start sitting on the lot. MSRP should not be a problem. I don't think Subaru will be making as many STIs. I would guess 2500. Now there is some markup! Oh, and I bet you will be able to get a smokn' deal on a WRX soon, real soon.

Even edmunds.com thinks the Evo is well ahead of the wrx. http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/compa...9/article.html
Although it's a comparison of the Evo VII GSR v WRX, the US Evo VIII shouldn't be too far off from a Evo VII GSR.

Let's hope not!
Unfortunately, I am kind if pessimist on that one, tough...

Is there a direct link I can plug in to Windows media player? My unix browser does not have a compatible plug-in.
