is there any warrantee on the clutch for evos. I have an 03 evo with about 11 thousand miles. I took my evo in because the clutch makes a humming noise sometimes when down shifting. They told me it was normal and also informed me that there is no warrantee at all on the clutch. Is this true???

 

It is normal, it's the massive mass of synchros synching...or so I've been told

 

yeah, that humming during downshifting is normal. You probably hear it the most when downshifting into 3rd and 2nd. I do. As to a warranty, the clutch is warranteed the same as the brake pads, meaning if it doesn't break abnormally (other than excessive wear) within the first couple of months after the vehicle is bought new, it is not covered under the warranty.
