Differences Between 05 and 03 EVO's?

Also, I'm learning to be skeptical of the quality of service from most of our dealers, Mitsu and Honda's included.
My 03's clutch was engaging much higher then the norm. I took in to Alhambra Mitsu and they told me it was normal and was set correctly. I finally decide after driving my friend's 05 to see if it was out of spec. And guess what, it was, almost .6" too high. I adjust my clutch pedal height back to stock, now the engage height is normal.
BTW, the pedal is still heavy.

I have a copy of CAPS and I looked up the shifter cable part numbers between the 03 and 05. They are the same. Either the 03-04s came w/ teflon coated shifter cables, or the teflon coated 05 shifter cables replaced the 03-04 cables as replacement parts. I'm wondering if that's the case for the master cylinders.
you are not using the program right or don't have your models straight. The only 05 with the teflon coated cables is the MR. The RS and GSR do not. The part number for the gsr and RS is MN107670 and the number for the MR's cables is MR580533. These part numbers have not superceded at all. It will show me supersessions in reynolds and reynolds....CAPS will even show it too if it is a recent supersession.
No one has confirmed that the 05 RS's or GSR's don't have teflon coated shifter cables. It says so on the Mitsu website that they're supposed to have them.
The 6-speed MR tranny has a different part number for the shifter cables because the cable ends are different compared to the 5-speed shifter cables.

you missed the main point of my post though. There are no supersessions on these part numbers. Reynolds and reynolds would show ALL old part numbers. And the Evo only being here for the short time it has CAPS would most likely show it too.
Also, the only place that I can find that says anything about the coated cables is on the MR mini site at mitsucars.com. The 03-05 5 speeds do not have it. Unless you can show me something official from mitsu about the cables on the 5 speed....I have no choice but to not believe it. They would have used that as a selling point for the 03's had it been in there.

I'm sorry everyone, I looked up a throw-out bearing orginally...he asked for the master cyl. Although the master cyl is the same too throughout the models of the lancer evolution line. Part number is MR491945
