seats and seatbelts

Does anyone know why the evo interior features page says, "A 5-point harness optimizes comfort and support for motor sport use while retaining a seating position with a lower center of gravity"? It's in the text when you mouse over the recaro seat at http://mitsubishicars.com/MMSA/jsp/evo/interior.jsp. From all the pictures, it's obvious that you get a standard 3 point harness. Are they just saying that, were you to install a new harness for motor sport use, you'd get those benefits? And, off that same page, it says, "At the back of the seat, and air-circulation vent helps keep you cool and comfortable." Are they talking about the two holes in the back? Aren't those to run the belts of a 5 point harness through? I've never worn a 5 point harness, so I was just curious. Thanks.

The seats are designed for 5-point harnesses so I guess you have to buy the 5-point belts...And those holes on the back of the Recaro seats is where the belts come through. And As for the "keeps you cool and comfortable thing" Not to shure about those but I think the vent is located on the middle of the seat-In other words if you were to sit on the Recaros, the vents would probably be located on your mid-back. Just a speculation. I also think the vents arent visible.

Also, I don't believe 5 point belts are street legal since in a rollover, they don't permit your noggin to move from getting crushed.

It's very plain to see that the brochure and other info written by Mitsubishi is very EngRish-y in nature...if you catch my drift.

The seats are built to allow use of a 5pt harness. The car does NOT come with 5pt harnesses. It is illegal in almost every state in the US to drive on the streets wearing a 5pt harness....

Actually the seat is built for a 4pt harness, as it is missing the center crotch hole for the 5th pt, otherwise it would be wrapping around the front cusion of the seat making it less secure and functional

I sat in the evo VIII at the LA auto show and the vent is in the low back as far as I could tell, so their claim of keeping you cool is i guess correct (why not have AC seats heheh)
