I just finished installing a boost gauge..

the reading is 18~19psi boost on third gear and up to a straight non-deviating 20psi on 4th gear (all the way to redline and even cutoff)..

my car is stock everything and i am really surprised it is reaching such levels.. I even intended to order a halmark MBC after the gauge installation but now, i am really confused!

Is this normal? Mind you, it is a Jap import evo-7..

that sounds pretty much normal....i mean the stock boost is 19...im running 20 with my ams mbc....i dont know why ur worried about it...wouldnt 1 more pound of boost..stock...be a good thing lol

 

Ok Evo8, but what's the boost pressure supposed to be once u install the mbc.. i mean how high can you go?! I thought the max WITH mbc install is supposed to be 20....

my car is stock except for the Mitsu Hyperground system and my max boost is 19.34psi. ('03 Evo)

 

ok great then my question still is:

what's the mbc supposed to boost the pressure to, safely?
