road race questions

i bought a mr to go road racing in the scca touring 2 class...got a few questions

im looking to drop some weight off the car... does anyone want to trade my hid headlights for regular ones....

what do the the 3 selections do on the acd
do they change how the power is dispersed?

i think i read the evo is 65% front wheel drive and 50/50
and the subie is 65% rear wheel drive and 50/50

im having the cage put in the car right now.... and then off to vishnu for a cat back and an ecu flash.....

any sugestions would be great....

i have the build on my site www.teamgogreen.com

I'll trade rims. I think my enkei's are lighter. they are in perfect condition. Tires only have 4000. miles on them.

is this gonna be an daily driver?

cuz you dont need a radio to race. Same with power locks and windows. I dunno how much the stock seats weigh, but I'm sure some sparcos weigh less. Do you really need that wing on the back? Maybe a Veilside one is lighter/better? =P haha, lots you can do I guess. How much $$$ ya got? Carbon fiber hood and trunk suit your fancy? haha

www.vividracing.com has some nice stuff

Take out your headlights and put in the Carbon Trix CF healight covers.

It's worth it.

don't trade your HID for regular headlights. That's like throwing away money.

thats the best you could come up with?the back seats are not heavy at all,the weight reduction as a whole needs to be performed not just individual parts
try a/c,mini-battery ,spare tire and jack, all interior carpet,radio,-the exhaust is pretty heavy, and un-sprung weight like wheels-you could go extereme and do fiberglass doors wich weugh like 7lbs each -compared to the 50 lbs stockers

assuming you're in California, talk to John Mueller of RRE for car setup.
they have done the most extensive testing on all the tracks in California.
IMO, they know how to turn your EVO into a proper race car.

if you go to rre i think they'd say you don't need to fully strip your car first... even kent jordan's car doens't have frp doors and stuff like that, he is running lexan windows. and the bbs are clunkers for their size... i think i'm the only person in the world that hates them.
