im not a big fan of v twin sport bikes (even thought the harley is a twin and called a "sportster") i thought about the yamaha FZ6 but didnt like the overall look of the half fairing look. it needed either more plastic or less IMO

Where do you live that you're even thinking about motorcycles in January?

'duc.

I have an R6 and I know what you mean about the track monsters - unless you're going to run from the po-po, you can't use half their abilities on the street

Call a dealer and see if the Monster is subject to the same cam follower chrome flaking problem the 996's and 998's had. It's a nasty tear down and there's no fix for it, you replace the followers with other followers that have a flawed design. The newer bikes may not have this problem. Food for thought.

Thumbs up

DUCATI hands down. harleys are yuppie bikes now. the 620 is really small. i would opt for the 800. also Ducati has 3 separate accessory catalogs for the Monster bikes (billet, chrome, cf).

i am looking at these two bikes the 620 dark and the 883. i like all the bikes people are mentioning but i can barley use the power of the evo on the street let alone a 11,10 or even 9 sec bike.

-Steve

i would like people to choose one of the two i have in the poll even though the ducati is pulling perdy good

The flaking rockers is only a problem on the 4 valve motors.

Get the Duc...It is more sexy and exotic. However you should really think about spending a little more money and buying a used 748. You can pick a really good used 748 for around $7000.

A Red 03 Ducati 999 Monoposto sits next to my Evo.
