was driving and my cel just shows but not blinking.i know theres alot of thread regardin this i only have basic bolt-on like turbo-back,stock cat and greddy bov.last couple days my car has been park outside below temp of -5.car is runnin pretty smooth.how can i resolve the prob?before take it into dealer?thanks

 

The CEL will never blink. The light came on because there was/is a problem. Unless you or someone you know has diagnostic equipment to decode the CEL, you have to bring it to the dealership.

If you think the CEL was a one time error, you could undo the positive battery lead to soft-reset the ecu. If there is a reoccurring problem, the light will come back on in time.

A trip to the dealer might not be entirely necessary. All the AutoZones in my area offer code pulling free of charge. Once you know the code it might be something you can fix without having to be without transport for a day and having to put up with the BS the stealership will undoubtedly give you.

 

crank up the car this morning.let it warmup for about 15-20min.when got in the car i notice cel has dissapear?will it show up again?

 

make sure your gas cap is on good

 

could be ur exhaust. i have test pipe and at times, it'll show up, and when i start the car, all of a sudden its gone, a few days later its back, etc...im doing the 2 spark plug fouler 02 simulater today cuz i heard when cel comes on, it puts ur car in limp mode, restricting boost (on stock boost controller) and running a lil rich.
