Evo VIII v. STI video (winding road at night)
I'm not sure whether this video has been posted before (there's a high probability that it already has been). Very interesting, though. Just makes me want an Evo even more. Even the driver of the STI acknowledged the superior handling and suspension of his rival.

The video consists of three different perspectives. 1. SRT-4 trailing the Evo and STI 2. STI in front. 3. EVO on the return run, trailing the STI.

That's nice, better if it was daytime and we could see something other than taillights (but then you can get ****ed by the police). If these people kept it on the track they could tape in the daytime then we'd have something to look at. Personally, i watched for 30 seconds and it was still a waste of my time.
I'll give you props for finding a video though for us.

wow... that's some pretty weak driving.... neither the sti or the srt4 are downshifting properly... but that is a nice road. man he was shaving lanes pretty bad too, can't always expect to do that. maybe if they only had their camras mounted they'd drive more aggressively.
poo that you have to be registered to dl the vid too.

Ya know, maybe I'm getting too old (or cautious), but the level of driving in this video is something I would consider borderline reckless. Certainly I could never see myself driving that quickly at night on a winding mountain road. If it were during the day with plenty of visibility and no steep cliffs around me, it would be a different story. If that represents "weak" driving, I'd be interested in seeing what constitutes "strong" driving under those circumstances. Just call me Grandpa, because I thought y'all would be impressed. Consider me humbled.
not bad.. yes those guys needed some practice with properly going through the gears. The downshifting sounded like letting the clutch grab the gear instead of rev matching it.. Oh well just because you can afford an awesome track car doesn't mean your an awesome track car driver
