stock tach setting question

Ok,

I messed up my tach setting removing my guage overlays, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to reset it to the factory setting. I have got it so it finally shows about 1000 at idle, which is close to where it was, but is there a way to actually dial in the factory setting? Also can anyone else verify the tach reads about 800-1000 rpm at idle. Thanks in advance for the help.

Mike

Mine reads about 900 idle, 850 or so with the A/C on.

Thanks for the info, I think I've got it dialed in pretty well, idles at 900 and hit 7000 and no fuel cut and it still felt like it had a little left. Oak2207 thanksfor the response, I thought mine was close to that, but wanted to make sure. EVO VIII SFL I read your post sorry about your car man, good luck with the G ride.

sounds right....... 900 - 1000 rpm for idle and 800 - 900 with AC on..... also seems different right when you turn the car on. drive round th block once then let her idle
