Last night Sunroof won't work but today it does

Has anyone had this problem?

 

I have not. Would it not work period or not function in one way or another: i.e. raise but not move back or vice versa?

 

A few suggestions:

Make sure their are no obstructions on the track and its lubed with lithium grease

Check for loose fuse/relay

Check if the sunroof button is making contact

If the obvious fails, take it to Mitsu for warrenty....God knows a boost controller did not cause the intermittent failure of your sunroof

 

well this happened to me once. at night, the sunroof would only tilt but wouldnt open so i was lke wtf? so i just ignored it went to sleep, woke up next morning and boom it opened. hasnt malfunctioned ever since.

 

Same thing happened to me, but I played with it until it fully opened, hasnt happened again, still havent figured out why it had happened. I think its something with a relay because after a min or 2 it finally opened, hasnt worried me though.

 

Mine had a bad seal, and I've probably only used it 12 times in 20,000 miles. Had to have it replaced.

I wish I could just have a lighter roof like the MR, and no damn sunroof!

The same thing happened to me on my old 03. One morning it wouldn't open. Left work to go to lunch and it opened fine. never happened again after that.

 

mine dosent but it may not have been closed all the way if you tilt it and close it you need to make sure its completely closed before reopening it completely

 

same here, i think it's just stuck.

 

same here but not the sunroof.
driver side real door didnt lock and unlock for half day. but now is ok.

 

Taking car to . I may have a bad seal since suroof is a little higher in the back. Sunroof won't level out and doesn't work at night I have 33,800 miles on my car so at least it happen before 36K

Sunroof works now it was actually missed alined which is why it didn't work. Fixed for free by .
