From what I have heard from the individuals dragging their MR's at the track, you do have to shift into fifth gear when running the 1/4, but hey anyone with a MR shouldn't be putting that kind of stress on the ACD system and that new 6 speed anyway, something's gonna start going on these...

does this really work? cuz it does seem a bit difficult to launch on mine too compared to the 03.

Be careful, Evo's are not meant for launching. Evo Launch=Drivetrain stress...Drivetrain damage.

update.. tried again tonight, and all the car needed was a little more tlc than my old 03.. But when you get it right its all the fun of the old one.. Anywho try what firball said it worked out pretty nice.

yes it does work.. I used to be able to launch my 03 all day long (I guess thats b4 I "un-learned" how to drive ) Then my MR was acting strange. Anywho fireball hooked me up with his learnings and BAM!! worked great.
