My good friend is really trying to get me to race him, saying he will slaughter me. I think I have a good chance at beating him. Or do you think I should wait until I get my car retuned with my perrin front mount, 720cc injectors, and arp head studs? I put down 293whp on cali 91 octane and 326whp on c16 race gas. I'm sure my #'s will go up considerably after the retune, but I am on the fence about racing him now or waiting till after my retune.

From a dig you should do alright. You won't get burned. As a rough (internet-racer) estimate, figure that the 350 extra pounds he is carrying is a 35hp credit on you side. You're still in the negative but with a good launch you should be able to get the best of him. From a roll, though, you might pick up a couple of scorch marks.

I think he'll win. From a stop (at a track I assume) you have the upper hand for a bit. It all depends on what happens after you get off the line. I personally think he'll start winning towards the end, but then again, I haven't seen a race like this before.

Hey, pb24dagrk, no one wants to hear from you. Iam asking if I will beat my buddy in a drag race. I think it would be close, in a drag race, but I know that I will defintely smoke him and your Z06 POS on any road course any day of the week! Bring if you got it!
This is a tough one, depends on how well of a driver you are, from a dig it could be close. That Cobra with 390WHP should hit mid 12s@112-114MPH (street tires), your car is also good for mid to high 12s@106-109MPH (all depends on the driver of course, for both EVO and Cobra). So it depends on how good you are, but it should be close, well atleast for a 1/4 mile race. Now from a roll, you'll most likely lose, usually for EVOs to take out stock or near stock Cobras you need 340WHP+ and Cams would do wonders.

Back to topic. I don't think you will see that much of a hp increase with the fm and 720's. Race just for the hell of it.
Lilevo, gettting a new front mount w/ the bar and plate design and the bigger diameter plus the 720's and the head studs all being tuned with the UTEC makes more of a difference than you would think. But check back w/ me later for actual results. I think that the front mount will matter more than usual because when my car got tuned last the bottom of the stock ic core was pushed up from getting hit on the bottom because my car is too low and I wasn't careful about driving it at first. I really feel a nice difference after installing it even before tuning.
