My roommate has an MR2. It has the stock engine and not the celica engine swap. I have ridden in it and it is such a PAIN IN THE A$$ to get in. He also hates the clutch. He complains of the hydrolic clutch and not beling able to feel it very well.

I think even with the GTS swap it wont be as much fun as the evo. He loves my car compared to his. Plus, there isnt much you can do to the 2ZZ engine due to the high compression

Would be fun to drive but I cant throw my son and golf clubs in the backseat or put my road bike in the trunk. But still should be a fun ride.

uhh cant believe im referring u to them, but this place called Toysport in Gardena, CA. I worked for them for a few months and they specialize in Toyota/Lexus/Scion ESP the MR2/MRS. They've done some swaps that have been really recognized. They can do practically any swap u want. PM if u want info. I just dont like them cuz the owner's an idiot, but they do swaps all the time.

I don't know about that, I just got a new Best Motoring video and the only thing that came close to teh Amuse S2000 was the J's Racing S2000, the Spirit MR-S was there but did not make it to the finals, only the the J's racing S2000 and the Tom's MR-S and it lost.

To make the MR2 as fast (or faster) than an S2000 will require a significant amount of modification. In the end, you may end up spending much more money than you'd like, and still be slower than a modded Evo. The Celica VVTL-i engine is very efficient in itself, but reliability and furthur potential is unknown...

Yep I saw that too. They had to stop the race because it got too dangerous i think. Keiichi and orido was nuts!

I personally think it will handle and brake really nice on the road course, entering corners faster than most cars, but will fall back like crazy on the straights. It would be a fun car though, but an s2000 will be better for the money. Im personally looking for a old 91 mr2 for extra transportation and some rwd fun.
