i got the gauge overlays from Trustz and the tow guy was saying how he was going to take them out of the car while it was on his lot, so i took the whole gauge cluster out before he put it on the truck. so i still have a gauge cluster in my bedroom with the Trustz overlays. screw the tow truck driver.

Did you let off the gas when the rear tires lost traction?

1. Great news that you didn't get hurt.
2. Sorry to hear about the bad news.
3. Now you can justify getting a new IX!

well here are the pics i said i'd post. I don't have the leather option, just the cd player and sunroof. I still have to talk to the insurance adjuster to see what is going to happen with the car. The stero equipment is still perfectly ok as is the accessories i put on it. (stoptech rotors, 3 out of 4 gram lights, etc.) but the tow yard says i can't take anything out as per insurance rules. I had to argue with them for them to let me take my license plate. any way.. i'll keep you posted.

and friends are ask ing how i can feel so upbeat about this because this car was my baby. They even ask if this means i will stop racing because this was my track car. I keep telling them there is no use crying over spilt milk and of course i will keep racing. If this had happened and i was doing 100+ mph at the track, I would have never even known nor would i have to go thru all this BS.

The first thing i tried was steady throttle control and counter steer to get the car righted again. It didn't even try to go back to right so i broke hard and steered with the spin to try and lose my momentum and end up facing the wrong way on the street. The front wheels went off the edge of the road and into the gutter and they wouldn't come back up that slope. It was just wrong place wrong time. I couldn't have been doing more than 30mph when we tipped. I was only going 45 from the start and we slid sideways before the tip occured. I will take pics of where the accident took place tomorrow and you can see the skids and everything.
