Got hit tonite

As im going through a 90 degree turn by my house I notice a dodge caravan in my lane coming straight at me, didnt even have half a second to react, and barely enough to brace for impact. Havent even had the car for a month yet. Only thing im grateful is that he admitted to the police that he was responsible for the accident 100%, besides that hes a ****in *******, i hate minivan drivers. From what I could see tonight, going need a new hood, bumper, fmic is mangled, cars leaking fluid, but it seems to be washer fluid( hopefully), but I did smell buring antifree. Started the car to drive it home and I could hear the fan hitting something, besides that the car seemed to run ok, grinded 2nd and 3rd but I dont think it has to do with the accident, just me being pissed off. Anything I should look out for? I got an adjuster coming tommorow. Hope none of this happens to any of yous. All I can sayWatch out for minivans, and dont brace for impact with your knee( can barely walk)

Damn, glad to hear you're okay. I would think a head on collision would do a lot more damage though. I assume your airbag didn't deploy?

I looked to the left and I saw that he's from Philly. I didn't know the East Coast accent shows up in print.

If you are insured then don't worry. Somebody else started a "where should I take my car" thread and I will tell you what I told him: Find out where the Euro car dealers send their damaged cars and take your car there. If a shop can fix a 911 or an AMG and make the owner happy then they can fix the Evo.

Yea I read the post. I took it to my insurance companys recommend place to get the estimate, and I was taking to the owner( real nice guy by the way) he told me had fixed 2 evo's already, and he does alot of foreighn cars. But when he faxed me the parts he wanted to replace( 3 pages), i realized he aint no joke. Any part that works fine, but he thought that could be replaced, he ordered. My headlights were fine, except the one was a little crooked, he even ordered a new set. Guarenteed the car will look better than it did before. So im happy with that, and hope everything turns out well.

Sorry to hear man. Went through the same thing last/this month. Not to dampen your hopes but I was told 2 weeks too and over 5 weeks into the repairs, I finally got it back. They still have parts to put on the car too and paint to buff out. I hope your place is a better time estimater than mine was.

Granted I do love the way it came out because they did an awesome job but I wouldn't have been so depressed waiting and waiting for it.

Again I feel your pain but be patient if possible. It's all worth it when you get her back
