Will it be possible???
To add the ACD or AYC to the EVO VIII. I have a feeling, that they might offer it in a later model 04-05.(to compete with the Subeys) Will we be able to upgrade our EVOs which pretty much fall under the RS category. I know the dealerships don't know this yet. But for you tech guys what do you think will it be possible??

The Evo 8 is a CT9A, same as the Evo 7. I therefore believe that adding these differentials would be possible. A concern may be the larger tank in the back not providing enough space for the AYC differential.
I fail to see what the advantage of adding these diffs would be, though: they add weight and keep you from driving the car the way you please.

Actually I am not all that concerned with the AYC but more with ACD. That would help....yeh...I understand "they add weight and keep you from driving the car the way you please." but here in the US there are very few places you can drive the way you please unless ofcourse your on a track. Plus I could use the extra help while driving

Well, if you dont drive it hard, then you dont need the ACD anyway. And even if you drive it hard, you dont need it.
I understand how the Police in the USA inforce traffic rules, and I'm glad I dont live there as far as traffic and driving is concerned. I wouldnt like helicopters following me or Police officers pointing a gun at me because I drive over the speed limit.
If you just want ACD for the hell of it, then I think it's possible to add it, but I'm not sure where you could locate the button or if you put it where the fog light switch is, where you could put the fog light switch. You'd need the diff, the ECU, the cables, the pump, etc. What a mess

Well, that's encouraging....'You'd need the diff, the ECU, the cables, the pump, etc. What a mess' I guess the EVO 8 as is, is good enough.......I do drive my current car hard when I get a chance but those chances are very rare with the type of surveillance we have on us. But now that the evo is here I got to find some new back roads for AWD testing
