I bet some of the parts will be available and won't void your warranty, but not all of them. For example, I think some of the Subaru aftermarket parts you can get through the dealer are for "off-road use only" and will void your warranty if installed. Kinda gay that they would be sold through the dealer and still void your warranty. Anyway, I bet they won't sell a front LSD or bigger turbo through RalliArt without warning you that installing it will void your warranty. Probably be mostly intake, mild exhaust upgrades, little things, and a lot of looks mods like pedals and whatnot.

I agree. We probably wont ever see a turbo upgrade or front lsd upgrade. the thing i DO hope we see is the Ralliart Sports ECU. THAT is what we need....... should bump it up to the 300bhp goal we are all stiving for.

Realistically I see the following:
intake
turbo-back exhaust
ECU

300+bhp

Probably 240-250 at the wheels if lucky

So the Skylines, Integras, Imprezas, Evos all have their own magazine. THe magazine is really cool as it tells you a lot of information and all the various tuning parts that you can buy. e.g. They have a ton of wheels, all the different exhausts, different intakes etc.
They show a lot of modified Evos and also tell you have to mod them.

If you're getting an Evo, definitely check those magazines out.
It's called HyperRev. Even though you cannot speak or read Japanese, it shows what is in store for you. If you can get someone to read Japanese, or read out the pics, there may be a drift sequence in snow...etc.

Any word on RalliArt ed. Evo? After having seen it in person, I wasn't as impressed as I could have been. Personally I still love the Evo, but in comparison with other new cars in the price range, i feel more and more shafted.

What cars in the sub 30k price range? I'd like to hear that.

Actually the evo's price is very cheap compared to the wrx. If you add all the mods done to a wrx it's already over 30K and it still doesn't perform as reliably as the evo.

I think he is talking about the STI. Price TBA Low 30's, whatever that means? 31,999 thru 34,999 tops.

I dont' feel the sti is a better deal, i feel it's more like if your willing to spend the extra $ for forged wheels, 6-speed, LSD, and DCCD. Let's not forget no radio and (non projector type HID's) They went cheap here. If it cost 31k then it's a better deal but, that's probably what subaru want us to believe . It's part of subaru strategy keep secret on the weight and price just for evo people like us

Well, in particular I was referring to the new Z and the rx-8. Especially the rx-8 actually. In person, I was very impressed with the quality of the car. Arguably the Evo would win performance wise, but it doesnt mean that theyre not comparable cars. It was generally understoond that the Evo is not meant to have all the interior amenities. However, the justification for its price originally layed within its mechanical advantages (regardless of how well/badly they affected vehicle performance). Now, in the US incarnation of the Evo, not only do we not get those elements, but were left with a basic awd drivetrain (ie lack of a front LSD). In the end, I find less and less justification for the Evo at such a price. SHould a ralliart ver be released, albeit with a slightly higher price tag, mitsubishi just might regain some face.

PS: I'm too much in love with the Evo to totally take it off my list, but its be-all-end-all status is no longer there.

What I worry about with the Ralli Art parts are:

1) will most likely be WAY over priced

2) they will want the techs at the dealership to intall the parts

3) will be limited on what is available

However, the one major factor Mitsu "could" get away with this highway roberry is that they will be able to dangle the "warrantee" over everyone's head... meaning if you want insurance, you'll pay for it out of your ***!!!!

Yeah, but if they are under warranty I think buying Ralli Art products would be worth it because they are guaranteed to work.
