I say wait for the IX...that seems to be what I'll be doing...

 

You have a point on waiting and it is hard however I do still drive an evo 8 today and love everyday driving it, I would love to be driving the MR and know I would love that more but I think I will put some of my performce stuff for sale that I cant use with the nine like my hks cams and my AEM engine management system I have not installed it yet and I know I will need to buy this stuff just for the IX.
I think It will be cool to variable valve timing on the 4g63 the torque is going to be awesome maybe brutal we shall see. I still have thoughts of the MR though love that color same as the fq400 now that is a collectors car.

 

I think you need to consider cost too. Ya all that may come standard in the IX but with the mr price or more.
