ROCKS vs NEW MR

So yesterday I was driving home and a truck with a six inch lift kit and some muddin tires threw a gd boulder up and hit my new MR. It sounded like it went under the wheel well so I paid no attention. I get home and there is a gash down to the primer about the size of my pinky nail on the front driver side quarter panel. I'm going to get it fixed soon so does anyone know how much this is going to be so I don't get screwed? There goes the tax refund down the s***ter!

Must have been a small tax refund.

Should not be too much.

It will happen all the time. I would even fix it until it gets worse so you get the most out of your money.

Grey is a very difficult color to match, due to the orientation of the metallic particles affecting the color of the paint. If you can live with it, I would just do so, especially since there's no risk of rust if it's on the front fender. A friend of mine had his S2000 repainted 3 times because they couldn't get it right. And his car was practically the same color as yours.

rock -1, evo -0

rocks always win. Almost everyone I know with an Evo got a ding or crack windshield from road rocks.

weight saving is great but at what cost? around $800

Why is that? So does that go the same for the hood? Cuz I live in CO and on my '03 I have at least 20 chips down the the primer in the hood alone. Fenders have 'em, A-pillar, and let's not even talk about the rear door jambs (yes I know, get the protectors, just haven't gotten around to it yet).

My friend driving in front of me in his 5.0 with slicks shot a bunch of rocks at me the first day i got my car. Came home and the front bumper had about 20 chips in it. Ordered the touch up paint, touched it up and it looks like a kindergarden kid did it. Unfortunatly im in the process of getting a whole new bumper so that should fix the chips!

gg... same kind of thing happened to my evo.

four lane road and someone coming from the other way shot this rock up like sideways somehow.. I was looking in that direction for some reason and I saw it coming and I was like... uhh..

Well not really because it happened in like a split second but it owned the **** out of my side skirt.. like an 8inch scratch that you can definetely see.

Car is getting repainted anyways so i'm not worry about it.

The graphite grey show rock chips like mother. I don't have any really...just down where the rocker panel is exposed behind the front tires(they aren't really chips, more like nicks in the clear). So I bought some rally armor mud gaurds...stopped that problem dead in its tracks!
