so ......wut does he mean by redesign?! EVO 9?!or ?!

 

What he meant by redesign...is basically the Evolution IX. If they brought the Evo VIII right now to Canada they would have to redesign it to fit Canada's bumper regulations. So they would rather wait until the next redesign which will eventually be the Evolution IX. Plus their going to make the next Evo based on North America...That way they won't have to make separate designs for Canada and U.S. There going to make the Evo IX to fit all regulations of both Canada and U.S. That'll be 3-4 years down the road.

 

he also mentioned that this redesign will be comming to canada sometimes during this summer, so that means, it will be 04 model,and we will get EVO IX during this summer...am i correct?!

 

So if the Evo IX will be a North American car do you think they will have a similar evo in japan or will they change that market to what will be the new WRC car (can't remember which one that is off the top of my head)... ? And if it's a true North American car will they be building or converting plants somewhere here to build them? Any thoughts welcome

 

not sure exactly how you are inferring that the Evo IX will be in Canada this summer by reading that article. It clearly states that the Lancer will be redesigned for the 04 model year....not the Evo.
