I'm doing a bit of research, and i can't find the info anywhere on evom or google.
Does anybody know what years evos (and what model) placed first in the WRC championship?

thanks guys,
your help would be great.

Your question could mean several things. Assuming you're talking about the WRC class and not group N:

1) The years mitsu won manufacturers (sp?) title using evos
2) Years mitsu drivers won drivers titles in evos
3) Years that evos won any stages.

If memory serves, the 96 and 97 seasons used the Evo 4, 98 used the 5, and 99 used the 6 which was, by then, losing ground very quickly to the WRC class cars.

That's when they changed the rules.

Fins rule! Let us hope that Rovanperä does the same trick than Mäkinen few years back.

So far he's doing great this year. Mitsu's finally competing again

Just noticed on the list since 1977 that 14 years out of 28 (50%) were won by Fins... I guess you all know how to drive up there

World Rally Championship driver's wins by nation
Finland 131
France 78
Sweden 43
United Kingdom 36
Italy 30
Spain 27
Germany 17
Norway 11
Kenya 8
Estonia 5
Japan 2
Austria 2
Portugal 1
Argentina 1
Ivory Coast 1

Wouldn't say all, but most anyway

For those of you who hasn't seen WRC-action live I'd suggest to start making some traveling plans! There is no words to describe it, certainly you should do it at the very least once in a life time! If you decide to come to see the Neste Rally Finland in august, the beer is on me

And it's ironic, because Ford is one of the top Manufacturers in the history of the WRC, second only to Lancia...

True If they sold a V8 Focus here, I'd buy it in a second!
