blitz turbo timer?
blitz turbo timer?
Hi every one i finally bought a harness and installed my blitz dtt dc II. Im having trouble with it working right. when i turn off the car it turns off! it doenst want to stay on. i set it for 1 min and try to take out my key but it just dies but when i leave it on ACC (my key) the turbo timer starts to clock down. and if i turn the car back on and then off again the car will stay on like it should have. what did i do wrong or do i need to set it up differant. i dont know how to make it stay on manuel mode either.
i tryed the hand break and that works but i dont know if im not setting the turbo timer right or i hooked some thing up wrong but there isnt anything i could hook up wrong.
please help!

I dont know about the blitz, but on most tt harness its more than just play and play. If you had to hook up your own power, make sure its not on the ignition power, but on accessary, from what you said its sounds like you hooked it up to ignition power, and thats why it turns off with the car, its most likely a yellow wire (most cars).
There's an article on EvoM about installing turbo timers. You can find it in the Road/Race section under "Feature". I basically followed these instructions and hooked up my Blitz timer without any trouble. Hope this helps.
I said i wasnt sure how the blitz hooked up...but some turbo timers make you hook up your own power source even with the harness, if yours has the power supplied with the harness then ignore my post.

it seems to work (sometimes) when i have it in auto mode. a couple of times i switch the key from on to off the the car stayed on but it started to rev up to like 2000 rpms but then it would come back down. (weired) i dont think i should be let to touch my evo ;(
I grounded the e-brake wire, but that should affect anything.
The timer should draw power from the ignition switch. There is no external power source.
There should be switches behind the control unit. Make sure you're set at the correct configuration.
