Two years and counting with the Evo. What are your thoughts?
To be honest, I'll probably get rid of mine one day, but not in the near future (3yrs). I might be persuaded to get the infiniti gt-r if/when it comes here, but nothing else out right now is even close t the EVO. I just think Mitsu customer service sucks, and that's the only gripe I have. Oh yeah, I've had mine since March 03.

Overall, I was one of the first, May/2003 purchase (put down $$ in March waiting for the right color). 21k on the clock - don't drive too much anymore since I work from home nowadays. Wanting to track it a little this year, so really looking forward to that.
I'd love to have a Cobra, as mentioned above, just for something totally different. RWD and lots of straight-line power. The resale on those suck terribly, so you can get them cheap. Other times, I think of selling my '03 (lightly modded) and starting over with a used MR or RS and going hardcore mods!
All the people who say they're keeping their Evo forever just amaze me. The Evo is a cool car now, but it will be a has-been in 6-7 years. Even the most diehard Evo fan will change his tune when there's a new kid on the block, even if it's an Evo IX.
My favorite car in high school was the Grand National. They are available for around $10000, but there's no way I'd buy one. How about the cheesy 30-something guy driving a 10 year-old Camaro or Trans Am? That will be YOU if you keep your 2003 Evo past 2010

i'm in it for the long haul, mostly because i have three years of payments left, and i look forward to the day when i have ZERO car payments. if that means i'm a thirty year old driving a car with a carbon wing, so be it!
plus, i absolutely love the car. i'm just concerned that the drivetrain will continue to get louder and louder.

I got mine, around may of last year. I have had my, MUST SELL for other car fits, but I think we all go threw those as car people. However I dont really want to get rid of it. I dont think you can find a car that performs this well for the price, and its hard to beat the looks.....well with another 4 door anyways.
