44,000 05 Evo MR in Maui...

So theres this Evo MR in maui thats goin for $44,000...all i can say is what a big rip off! My friend works in that dealership and said that theres only goin to be two MR's in hawaii (1 in maui and the other in Oahu). I already own a 05 Evo GSR no regrets whats so ever...but tried to test drive the MR to see how it feels from mine and they wouldn't let me...even the dealers can't drive too...

I think it would be cheaper to find a stateside dealership to buy it from and have it shipped...That is what I would do.

Shoot, for that matter you could go vacation for a week in the states, find a dealership and ship it yourself, and still walk with well below 40,000 said and done.

funny, you'd think the boat from Japan would make a stop in Hawaii on it's way to California to drop the cars off, and they'd be cheaper! Probably not, I heard everything is ridiculously expensive in Hawaii, but $44,000 for a MR is close to grand larceny. The car isn't THAT awesome. You could find a used '02 Corvette Z06 for that kind of scratch.

Everything costs more in Hawaii. Same with Japan. People over there have no idea what prices should be.

Cutter tried to charge me 36,000 at the end of the 03 model year for a GSR with wing only. After 4 months of their games I called HB in Calif and bought one for 29,000 out the door. Now I always make sure cutter looks at the HB license frames whenever I go to the dealer.
