I have to admit I drove 5-15 mph over the speed limit depends on the traffic on my daily commute on high way (55 mph limit) and I only speed on the left lane.
I am very serious when driving, always both hands on wheel and 100% concentrate. If I would need to do something with one of my hand I will slow down and move to the right lane.
I believe most high performance car is safe to drive at speed of 80-100 on a light traffic with its setup (tire, suspension, brake). But if you are some stupid kids especially those one hand over the steering wheel just trying to gun the car and see what it can do, you will get yourself killed someday. Highway is not for you to test your speed limit because it’s not a controlled environment and you are not trained to handle the situation like that. You might also endanger other drivers especial those left lane blocker (even though I would like to see them gone..haha).
Anyway I think your 157 is bull and no way a cop will be cool about it.

Hes not the reason your insurance is going higher. Mine keeps getting lower. So lay off the trip that he is the cause of insurance rates as Ive seen many times in this forum. Your insurance rates are mostly a result of your own driving habits, age, type of car and whether or not you have an umbrella policy with that company.

i think that it is funny that the only people that are calling this guy an idiot for speeding and telling him that they wish he would never drive again all dont own evo's i dont think they understand. i am not saying that there is not other lancers out there that are not just as fast or even *** loads faster. but give the guy a break. i am with him you dont buy a 30,000 turbocharged car to go slow. so back off of him yes that was not real smart to go that fast but hey **** happens.

I don't know any track around here where you could go 150+ miles an hour.

BS, Insurance rates are based on the car and its accident rates. As well as the driver. So if somebody is driving 157 and gets in an accident then it raises the rates for all of us. 157 is too high. Any pothole etc. is likely to cause loss of control.... I am an accident ivestigator for airplanes and have first hand experience in high speed versus low speed accidents and 157 is high speed...

Why dont you guys go tell this garbage to the people in the "What did you get your EVO up to?" thread or did half of you answer it with numbers well over 157.lol leave this guy alone he bought an evo to have fun let him enjoy it. I gaurentee 99% of everyone on here except for the lancer guys have gone speeds of over 100 more than once so there you go.

thats because you drive an ozlancer tehehehe.... Just kidding bro . I agree 100 %. I drive slow as hell on public roads.

As for the driver of the evo going warp speed, learn to calm that lead foot down bub. Also like zlancer says take it to the track.
