Question Wing rust?

Looking at my wing this afternoon, I found some rust between it and the trunk nearly the entire length of where the two meet.

I will be calling the dealer to have them take a look, but wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this. Didn't find any other posts.

I checked mine out today.. I have the same issue, on the left hand side upright on my car.. Must be a bolt that holds the wing on or something... Hopefully it's not my trunk lid.

Take it to the dealer, and make them fix it for you!! That would be my .02.

I noticed some discoloration about a month ago and just checked it again and there is actually some rust bubbles forming. I called the dealer and told them, they said they “might” cover it under warranty depending on how it looks. I'm going to bring it in tomorrow.

UPDATE: Dealer fixed under warrantly; no questions asked, as it should have been. They had to keep it overnight, which sucked, but at least it was taken care of. They never explained what was wrong and what they did, and I didn't care enough to ask, but looking at it, it seems as though a pad was missing from between the wing and the trunk lid, so the water just kept going in...

I saw a car that had something similar up here in MI. Looked like a fastener started to rust or something underneath and was spreading to surrounding metal.
