This might sound stupid, but what is a boost spike. What does it feel like, what does it sound like. i have a problem with my boost, but i dont think its a boost leak. I think i might be able to diagnose this prob for efficiently. My car looses boost when it feels like it. A boost leak would be consistently. this is kinda when it feels like it. Possibly my seals are bad cuz i took off my intake tube and theres a significant amount of oil in my intake tube. I found out there could be a little bit, but this is more than a little

 

If anything boost spike would give you more boost than less. Thats not your problem. Check all your vacumm lines and intercooler pipes.
