any suggestions about stiffness or spring or anything useful.

this is the best one...

You need to take out the smaller spring and run only the larger spring. Then tighten down the screw on the top of the valve until you feel it hit the top of the piston inside the valve. This should leave about 8 threads out the top. If you want more noise tighten the screw a little more... it does not take much. Also make sure you do not install it upside down. The adjustment screw should lay horizontally(spelling?) away from the battery.
