Congrats. I hope you are enjoying the car. I wish my wife let me have as many toys as you have. My other car is a 1973 mini innocenti cooper. I also have a suzuki but dont have the ***** to ride it anymore!!! I had a choice of red or silver and took the red only because the silver one had more miles, it must have had a few test rides.

Thanks to you all! Glad to be here. After hours of researching how to make an EVO faster, my eyes hurt! What potential.

Easy question: What is the best damn sounding BOV? I like it loud and high pitch. Any ideas? Thanks.

Be carefull with the BOV, you may have idling problems depending on which one you choose. Most think that the JDm MR valve or the 1G Eclipse dump valve is best. Unless you go with a speed density set-up, you're better off sticking with a recirculating. There are some hybrids out therre which vent to atmosphere and back into the intake,

Sorry-way off topic-congrats on a sweet car!
That's because they have dyno tested, leak-down tested and had oil tested (for evidence of blow by) from enough of both schools of thought to KNOW that you will have more hp, better gas mileage and lower emissions if you drain the synthetic ASAP and break-in on conventional oil.

Ignorance may be bliss...but I'll take the free HP and cleaner running engine thank you very much

BTW Drive200 congrats on the MR

I've never heard of "race seats" that recline. All race seats are fixed-back. Anway, fixed-back seats are much safer than reclining if you're planning on running a roll-bar.

And, for the record, 4-point belts are dangerous. You need the anti-sub to keep you safe. Get 5- or 6-pointers (depending on seatback angle). None of the clubs I instruct with (BMW and Porsche mostly) will allow 4-point belts.

Hmmmm, I wonder why the 911, Corvette and a multitude of other performance cars aren't filled up with dino oil from the factory ?

I love it! We got smart guys and girls on both sides of the fence! Yup, this is a forum alright. Thanks for all the input. It doesn't sound like it hurts anything to use regular oil at first. So, maybe I will. I didn't see anyone write it makes the car slower by doing this. Good judgement here says try it and things either stay the same or get better.

After the first time you take it to the track, it will be Broke-in or Broke.
