did you even look at the car? it is a pos! it's most def not worth $13k, especially since it's probably not even street legal. ****, you could find an evo 5 that's not street legal for $15k!

It probably isn't street legal, it's listed under "turbo chargers and parts"

Lancers, Evos and Mirages were based off that car? I'm the one who needs to respect my elders? Hahahaha. It is a Lancer... I had no idea the Mirage was based off a Lancer Evolution II, thanks for schooling me.

Look at the photos. Look at the hood: Is it not closed or does it just not fit right (I'm guessing the latter)? Look at the scratches on the front fender and passenger door. And is that writing I see on the driver fender? It even looks like the steering wheel has rust on it. Passenger seat's tore up and I would imagine the driver's seat is too. The engine looks like it has 10 years of sh*t caked on it. It's a freaking POS, regardless of what model it is.

Nah, I covered that .

[edit] I guess seeing as the Lancer II entered the WRC towards the end of 93 then it would make the 94 a valid model year. My bad.

It took you 6 minutes to come up with that? Wow. I tell you what, seeing as I have no idea about Mitsubishi's history, I have a Lancer ES parked in the drive way right now; please explain to me how this car is based off the Evo II. Please explain the similarity between my Lancer's engine and drivetrain and that of the Evo II. Thanks in advance.

are you kiddin me? the lancer evolution is what all our cars originated from i am not saying they are exactly the same. evo2-evo3-evo4-mirage-evo5-evo6-evo7-lancer-evo8-evo9 u duuuuuur do the timeline mirages are the basic/watered down model of the evo4-6.5tme and the lancer is the watered down version of the evo 7-9 and before that the mirage was the basic/watered down version of the evo1-3 series. do u understand or do i need to go more into depth?

dude, the mirage is the lancer in every other country. the evolution EVOLVED from the lancer (mirage here). hence the term: evolution. the only reason the name was changed from mirage to lancer in 2002 was so the evo would have something to EVOLVE from. get it? i sure hope so because there is no other way to explain it.

if your "sources" are ebay auctions then maybe $13k is cheap for a pos evo. i don't know since ebay doesn't dictate how much i would/should spend on a car. if you don't know where to find an evo 5 for $15k, then save it for a pm. you can also buy silvias/180s for around $3000 with original srs or cas. my friend just picked up a dc2 (itr) as his track car over in osaka; $7000! can you believe it? of course you don't because OMFGJDMTYTEYO integras go for $20000 on ebay. blah... it's like talking to a brick wall. at least most of the people in this thread have their head on straight.

seriously though, just because it says evo or skyline or type-r on it doesn't necessairly make it a nice car. you're taking the name to hold too much value over the vehicle itself. i'll bet you'd be one of the fools to import a rb25 powered gtst over a 350z... have fun throwing your money away. bye bye money
