Will a Quaiffe Differential help strengthen the transfer case?
Will a Quaiffe Differential help strengthen the transfer case?
this is kinda a n00b question but i read the post on the quiaffe differential and the faq up on RRE's site about the differential and got the impression that if i where to add this, my transfer case would be stronger. i own an '03 evo and haven't had any problems with my transfer case thus far but i am getting paranoid about it because gravity tends to like to pull harder on my foot when i'm driving. also, are there anyways to strengthen/protect the transfer case (i've done a search on both but came back with zero results, i mite just be searching wrong for the wrong words)

everyone Ive talked to said for the 03 cars with no limited slip, you have to change the transfer case when you change the front diff. I know for a fact that with the cusco diffs you have to change the tranfer case, because i called about getting it a couple days ago.
The whole purpose of RRE developing a front LSD w/ Quaife for the 03-04s was to create a part that didn't require us to get a different transfer case. They've retrofitted their prototypes into our t-cases already. Hopefully the LSDs will show up sometime within the next few weeks.
