Unhappy my o4 rs mite be a lemon

I've brought it back to the dealer three time for a clicking sound from my engine.
I dropped it off on fri agian and told them the sound was still there. I go to pick it up today and they said it was fixed. I turn on my car and drive alittle and the clicking is not gone. I called mits. corp today and told them my problem and made another appointment to drop off my car tonight. So I mite have to turn my car in as a lemon. The problem is when I press on the gas around 2000-3000 rpm there is a loud clicking sound and when I take off my foot the sound comes again. This clicking sound started has soon as I got the car. My car is stock and i have a boat load of money waiting to put in my car. But i can't till I get this fixed or get a new one. Anyone else have a loud clicking sound coming from their car?

My car's done that since day 1. It sounds like it's coming from dead center of the dash. I'm pretty sure it's still there but I don't notice it anymore. I would never get rid of the car just because it makes a clicking sound...

If I paid close to 30g's for it, I would.

Yeah, because I didn't pay $30K for my brand new Evo? If he has the same clicking sound as I do then it's really not that bad. These cars make noises...

i know you did. my point is if you paid that much for a car, you'd explore all avenues to try to make sure any clicking noises are taken care of under warranty. if you must know, my evo doesn't make a clicking noise.

Ughh!

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's an intermittent noise problem.

In a previous car, I had one that was so notorious I had to videotape it and play the tape for the dealer mechanic.

I get a clicking sound when I step on it but it is not anywhere I would say loud. It only happens when I push the pedal not when I let go though. I took it to the dealer once and they said it was normal. OH, the car has almost 25k and it started a long time ago.

I understand what you're saying, but my point is that I'd never lemon law the car just because it makes a clicking sound.

My clicking sound seems to happen right around when boost comes in so I'm wondering if it's the boost control solenoid that makes the noise, or something associated with it. Like I said though, the sound's in the center which should rule out the BCS.

Same here, just before boost. But it is not loud.

You are probably low on boost fluid. Top your boost fluid all the way to the top and you should be fine.

JK. My rs makes the clicking noise but it also makes a lot of other noises. The rs is just a noisy car so it does not bother me.
