ATTN: Vendors...a new spoiler idea?
Can we just use the OEM BMW M3 lip spoiler? I know B5 S4 guys have used it and it looks good on their cars, just a question of whether or not it fits the Evo lid as well as it does those German Garbage Cans.
ok guys - spoke with another manufacturer last night who is interested in doing these in either carbon or frp - but we need some concencus on a design. Do we want the more pronounced IS300 type, or something a bit cleaner like the M3 style?

The IS300 looks too much like the Lancer Ralliart's spoiler. I like the M3 lip. I've never seen it on an Evo before but I think it would look good.
BTW...what is FRP?

I have to say that this one http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=2187

But I wouldnt waste my money buying it.

it likely wont use screws at all...no real need to. The 3M "grey" tape is more than strong enough to hold a small lip like this on, regardless of the speed. Most of the OEM manufacturers have now gone to this for attaching smaller, lightweight spoilers and lips

all we need is concensus...I don't owe loyalty to one design over another....this is for you guys, so come up with something everyone can live with!!
Painted is absolutely NOT going to happen - there are way too many color variations on these cars (both in terms of the number of colors offered year to year, as well as the various formulas for each color). I've seen a couple of the items people are offering "prepainted" here, and have no been impressed by a single one...they were all off.
It is very very difficult to match some of the colors out there, such as BBY, Electric Blue, Yellow, Grey. For some, a 90% match is ok - for me, it sticks out like a sore thumb and would be totally unacceptable. For that reason, I'd much rather have these painted locally by your local favorite body shop - this way if any issues develop with paint not matching, etc., it can be deal with on a local level with minimal downtime.
