Taiwan Mitsubishi, pathetic lol

I just called them today and told them there was a rumor going on that the price dropped 10k. He told me thats true but you would have to wait until next year to get one at that price. Currently the price is still 53k if you buy now but if you want a 10k deduction on the 2004 models(current model and only models that were imported) you need to put a deposit on it now and wait until next year to pick it up. They want 30k deposit and will put you on the waiting list for next year to pick up one of the cars currently on the lot, wtf LOL. Funny and sad at the same time.

To me, this is a fascinating glimpse at the law of supply and demand. Paying more than $40K for any Evo is ridiculous. However, there just might be someone in Thailand with money to burn who will part with that much cash to own one. Can't you have one shipped from the U.S., and still save yourself some money? Heck, you could've gotten an '05 for $1400 below invoice back in January (at Fresno Mitsubishi) and had it sent to you for significantly less than what you'd pay there.

You don't need an evo in Taiwan, there is no place to drive it and it will just end up getting beat up by the scooters.

Taiwan is not big but there are places you can still drive fast, especially at night. At least I dont have to worry about tickets, insurance going up or cops sweating me for my exhaust. Its just a Evo, btw still not one scratch on my car.

Just go to any 7-11 and buy a car magazine , something like OPTION or SPEC-R . there are a lot of ads for the auto shop. But if you want some parts for your car, check the auction on yahoo Taiwan. in Taiwan Yahoo auction is a lot bigger than e-bay. You can find a lot of parts shop in the yahoo auction. I visit Taiwan every year with my wife and son. I almost ship my 2003 EVO VIII on May 2004 to Taiwan, but the buyer back off.
