blue oil?

I was wondering what fluid in the engine would look bluish on the ground? To me it looks like 2 stroke oil and it could have been spilled right where I parked my car one night. The only other thing I can think of is Tranny gear oil. How do I check the level of that? I wasnt able to see where it was dripping from on the engine though.
Thanks
Aus

There is nothing blue but the transfer case fluid might look grey with a light blue tint to it.

Some gear oils are blue. Amsoil used to make a blue 75w90 series 2000 gear oil. I think some of castrol's gear oils are blue also. Does it have a strong smell, almost like sulfer? if so its more than likely gear oil.
