Well, my only advise is to shop. But get ALL your insurance into the same company: home, auto, blah-blah. It helps with rates alot. American Family here and happy to-date.

mine has stayed the same thru the years...about 209 a month, but thats TWO cars insurance...and every year its a better car. Geico is great! Everyone else tried to shaft me when I used to get "quotes"...$500 month, $1243 a month, etc...stupid.

Mine is roughly $105 a month w/ State farm. I also insure a fleet of motorcycles and my house w/ them. 26 years old and 1 accident.

There are so many different reasons that insurances prices go up, all the stuff that has been listed already plays a factor, but there are alot of other reasons. Your geography, for example - think about it. If you live in a city, the odds that something is going to happen to your car goes up when compared to living in the sticks. You guys are talking about paying alot for an evo....try living in the bronx driving a piece of crap...that will cost you a $415 a month for liabilty only! My point is - there alot of different reasons that you pay XXX a month. Coming on this site and tryin to compare prices & companies across the country is kinda worthless....So dont stress urself if some1 is payin more than you!

Just for the record...Im a broker in NY....$365.00 a month

zipcode & credit score also affect rates. the closest intersection to my address averages 12 accidents a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also, if i insured my '03 as a daily driver, it would cost me $586/month!!!!!!!!!
instead i pay $210/month & have it listed as a "recreational vehicle"...

1 out of 3 drivers here in AZ DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE so you are also paying for those schmucks too.

309 a month with Progressive. I WAS using Esurance at 1475 every 6 months, but then two weeks after I bought my policy they did a "premium re-addjustment" and hiked my 6 month fee up to 3800!!!!! Screw those guys. But, blame the high cost of repairs on a low volume car, and too many people getting tickets and wrecks in EVO's. Search the forums, there are many, many cases of this.

I'm with Progressive, and it used to cost me $129/mo. Now it just jumped to $179/mo. I do have a ticket, but I called and they said that the increase was because of my zip code change, not the ticket. Yikes.

NYREDEVO,

I don't know if that's directed to me, but nothing in my friggin' policy changed except 2 things:

1.Policy date (Start and end date)
2.Premium

I'm comparing myself 2005 to...myself 2004, and no one else. I'm just curious if others noticed an increase like mine barring no changes in his/her policy.

lol that wasnt directed at u Impulsive!! I was just sayin that people shouldnt use eash others premiums as comparison. If you want u can email/fax copies of both of ur polices i can see if there were any changes that maybe you are not noticing. Only disclaimer i have to say im not licensed in ur state so some different laws might apply...but i will def take a look

My company told me the rates went up on the car because of high repair costs. My liability premiums haven't changed, it is all in the collision on my EVO, they went down on all of our other cars and premiums are up on the house (which is a good thing).

FYI, 27 yr old married. 4 cars and house on the same policy. Policy is about $1520/yr (or $127/month) on the 2003 EVO, which is in line with my old 2003 IS300. It's also listed as my daily to work.
