Quick question: Is this the stock fuel pump?

I bought my car used and slightly mod'd so was just making sure my fuel pump is stock before ordering a walbro 255lph... can anyone confirm that this is the stock fuel pump in the pictures below? Thanks!

the plastic housing that says Denso has to be taken out of your gas tank to tell. the fuel pump is inside & can only be accessed from the bottom of that housing. just so you know, IT IS A PAIN GETTING THAT THING OUT SO BE CAREFUL & DON'T OVER FORCE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Look at the small nuts (no pun intended) around the retaining ring. Look to see if they have any marks or anything on them, also look at the brass clamp on the soft line to see if it has any marks where pliers have been on it. If everything looks clean, more than likely its the stocker in there.

They only way to know for sure is to pull it outta the housing and see for yourself.

Edit: now that I look at the enlarged pic. theres no doubt its the stock one in there.
Look at the tamper paint on all the clamps and nuts. It matches up perfect and is not flaking off. Meaning no wrenches have touched it.

Yes, that is the stock Mitsubishi pump housing. LOL

You'll need to pull the pump housing to actually see the pump. Pulling the pump housing is one of the easiest jobs I've even done on any car in my life. If you have trouble getting it out and back in correctly within a half-hour, you should not be allowed to breed and pollute the gene pool.

I have to agree with sr20... I don't think anyone has changed the pump judging by that pamper paint on the bolts

^lol...yeah...it must be taken off to tell...remember that Denso is the allmighty maker of our fuel pumps and everything else electrical

Not to throw us off topic....i guess some of us want to sell our used fuel pumps to make some cash.....are our fuel pumps compatible with the DSM'ers? They look similar...but i do not know for certain.
