i know running bov thats VTA causes idle problems.. what can i do about it? other than running a speed density or removing the MAF...

is there anyway i can run VTA with the MAF??!

 

I personally know an EVO owner who has the HKS SSQV BOV and he's running it VTA, he has no problems with stalling or idle issues. I guess for some people it works while for others it doesn't. I personally would not recommend running VTA with MAF but that's just my opinion. What BOV do you plan on running?

 

Buy the hks electronic idle stabilizer, i know lancershop.com sells it.

evo81 had the tial bov with the HKS EIDS and he still has problems. All you can do is try it and see what happens

 

The HKS unit works fairly well. Fairly well, but honestly, the sound of a VTA versus the Recirc isn't worth it for me, so I just recirced it and sold the HKS. It was nice to have that typical sound of a BOV, but I went and ran a short ram airfilter bolted right to the MAF, and it works out pretty well. Just offering an alternate.

the eids should work properly if hooked up the right way.... i have the hks ssqv ver 2 with eids vta and i have no problems at all....

search i know a buddy of mine had one for sale for a while personally i think they are trash lol bought mine never even installed it recived it and just sold it after seeing it in a few other cars... i have been running vta for like 5 months and have yet to have the car die worst has been like a 500rpm idle drop... but if u learn to drive it with it u can have it never drop... i have a recirc i will b putting on though just havent found time

 

ya...i know there is some car doing fine running vta without idle problems... i don't know about mine...the tial bov should be coming monday or tuesday.... if i do have idle problem..i'll have to get one

is there any other problem with running VTA with MAF that i don't know of??!?!?!
