Maybe a 2.75-3.00 inch downpipe and ECU reflash.

I dont want to reflash yet because I am still thinking about getting XEDE or flash, and I want to build up my mods so I will have my custom tune when I am done. Downpipe sounds good, what brand will go nicely with a JIC Ti?

I just bought the Dc Sports Downpipe with cat delete from logic performance. They ship it to you with the mech. cel fix. http://www.logicperformance.com/data...roducts_id=702

I'd buy that, then pocket the rest of your money, and save up and get some 264/272 cams.

Not sure if it's any better, there both 3 inch and the Dc sports clears both of the tie braces. I have a 05 MR so that was important to me. I believe the RSR will clear the braces as well, but you need to use some extra washers. The DC Sports you don't have to.
It boils down to personal preference on the two.

Definitely get a larger diameter downpipe... it is choking your exhaust flow in your car. Essentially, a 3" downpipe will make more power than a 3" cat-back exhaust... closer to the turbo you alleviate exhaust gases, the more power gains. Also recommeng upgrading your stock intercooler piping and maybe your MAF pipe too. The stock IC piping has numerous bends and turns in it that restrict flow and causes loss of pressure. The piping won't essentially give you results on the dyno, but it will at the track. $500 will also buy you a pair of HKS or GSC camshafts too... if you go that route, I recommend getting some ARP headstuds too. Just make sure you have money left over after whatever you do so you can afford a good engine management system with tuning.

for the price of the xede plus an xflash you can surely buy a used standalone from someone on here.
