It says it only has 14in/12in (F/R) rotors! Is this true?

Doesn't the JDM one have 17/16in rotors?

I believe those sizes, 14in and 12in, are the same size as the JDM model. The JDM spec sheet shows 17in and 16in because thats the size of wheel that will fit around the brakes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Those Edmunds pics do show a front mount intercooler. I can't seem to make out the type of seats in the car though.

Edmunds also has pics of the Montero Evolution. Mmmmm....

Your confusing rotor and wheel size.

14" rotors are huge!

How would you get a 17" rotor under a 17" wheel anyway.

My galant VR-4 has 10.5" rotors and they are bigger than a lot of vehicles. Most big brake upgrades are 12-13" rotors.

With the 14" rotors, the calipers would barely fit inside the rims, and I hear that many 17" rims would not even work.

Thats what I was thinking but those numbers come straight from Mitsubishi's brochure. 17/16in for the GSR and 15/15in for the RS.

Yup this is going to be one expensive car to run as you won't even be able to get away with winter steelies for those of us who are lucky enough to be living in the snowbelt.

So now we have to do 17" snow tire research but we have lots of time to share info amongst us so that's not too bad.

Anyone know what kind of tire comes standard on the E7? And who makes those rims for Mitsu? Are they light, strong and worth keeping? Guess we'll find out from our international friends soon enough.

I believe they are 234/45/17 Yokohoma A045's. I think the rims are made by BBS. I heard not many aftermarket rims will fit because of the strange offset. Dunno if its true though.

Well it looks like they still have the Recaro sticker on the rear passenger window. So they must be sticking with the Recaro interior, I guess...

Ahh yes, of course!

I hope Mitsubishi isn't just showing us a LHD JDM spec car, tricking us into believing that that's what we're getting.

Pirelli makes a 17 inch snow tire.

By that time, perhaps the eco-studded Nokian Hakka2's will be available in North America in 17" sizes.
