EVO 8 Commercial?
I know for a fact there is an Evo8 commercial. My cinematography teacher at Art Center Pasadena was the director for it. He had a chance to drive the car, he was quite impressed. Which is a lot cuz this guy is a hard core gear head. He owns two 850CSi's a GT-2 Porsche and a Carrera 4s. He's done all of the Mitsu ads for this years model line up. To his credit, he just directs them, the ad agency came up with the lame campaign.
Evolution VIII = MSRP 27-32K.
NSX = MSRP 70K (roughly)
As for Porsche and Viper... I've seen commercials for both. By that philosophy, there should be NO 350Z commercials, and, look, there are. The point of a Flagship Car is that while commercials may not sell the cars, they do show what that car company is capable of. You don't think that showing WRX commercials have brought up sales of the 2.5RS which looks exactly like it? Think about it... the next gen Lancer supposed to be a spitting image of the EVO... it wouldn't hurt to get the word out to the uninformed masses. That will translate to more units of the lookalike, lower performance, and lower cost being sold.
However, I don't expect (now) to see an Evo commercial until you can see them on the road. I know the Outlander push didn't come until a few weeks after they were available at dealerships... same with the Lancer. I should have thought about that before predicting a Super Bowl appearance, but, hindsight is twenty-twenty.
AND FOR THE LAST DAMN TIME!!! IT'S A LIMITED RELEASE, NOT LIMITED PRODUCTION!!! Jesus Christ... no wonder people are getting ***-raped by dealers. There is a HUGE difference. And in any case, someone tell me when a Limited Production really was. The WRX started out as an LP model car, the S2000 was a LP car. People, get it through your heads: Everyone that has the money for an evolution will more than likely GET an evolution. Damn.
